The ITSM Journal

Welcome To The ITSM Journal

Welcome to the directory and portal dedicated to ITSM. Over the coming months it will be expanded to cover all frameworks, methods and certification in this complex yet rapidly expanding area.

This will remain an objective and neutral project, intended to create a definitive guide.

Topics covered will include ISO 20000, ITIL, COBIT, Six Sigma, BiSL, SQMF, SQMA, MOF, CMMI, ASL, PRINCE2, PMBOK, ISO 27001, Balanced Scorecard, and many others.

DEFINITION:
ITSM, or Information Technology Service management, is a discipline for managing IT systems. It is "philosophically centered on the customer's perspective" (wiki) of IT's contribution to the business function.

IT Service Management is process focused, and importantly, is a non-proprietary term.
